"I stayed focused on recovery with the goal of working race patrol for the 2015 World Championships. I have been on the race crew for the Birds of Prey since 2005. When I learned that Beaver Creek and Vail would be hosting the World Championships I knew I wanted to be part of the team. My injury put that in jeopardy but thanks to the help from the Kees Brenninkmeyer Foundation, I was able to recover from my surgery and get back on skis in time for the races. There is no way this would have been possible without the surgery and the physical therapy that the foundation covered. My insurance only covered 15 sessions of therapy and my doctor prescribed 3-5 sessions a week for a year. I am very grateful for the support of the Kees Brenninkmeyer Foundation that allowed me to complete the rehab necessary to get back to work. "
